Hello,

A seller is selling this 1966 Omega Seamaster for around 450 USD. I haven't owned an omega yet so I am beginner at spotting fakes or franken watches. Would greatly appreciate any information you can give me(i.e. whether it is authentic, replaced parts, dial redone, etc..). Thank you in advance

Looks good IMO, price seems reasonable!

Clean movement, original condition dial, good case edges, nice bracelet

Good luck!

Nice 166.003! I'd try to bargain down to 400, but it's a nice piece nonetheless.

Reasonable price, but that movement will desperately need a service, looking at the gasket 😀

Hi Con, just for learning: Could you please explain whats the matter with the gasket?

Omega used to use yellow gaskets for their watches in the sixties; having one in a watch now means that unless it has been replaced with another yellow one (not very common), the watch has never been serviced or has been serviced without changing gaskets.

That movement looks very, very nice btw 🥰

I just talked to the seller. According to him, the watch was serviced last year.
