·For sale is a very nice Omega Constellation from 1966 the reference 167.005 with its 551 movement.
The watch is in good condition and runs and keeps time as it should but its service history is unknown. The inner caseback shows multiple service marks so it had been looked after in the past. While it is not pristine it is a good daily wearer or project for restoration.
The case looks good and with usual signs of age, the lower right lug looking rather worn. The crown is signed Omega but it is not known if it is original to the watch and the caseback looks good.
The dial shows some signs of age and discolouring around the edges. There are a few spots the biggest being the spot near the 2 marker. There are also some signs of bubbling/blistering to the surface. The dial surface would likely benefit from some light cleaning. The hands appear to be original though the lume has darkened with age.
The crystal is unmarked and worn. It is not known if it is original to the watch.
The movement is in very good condition and runs and keeps time as it should. It is marked 551 with serial 244174XX which dates it to about 1966.
