Hello OF,

I've been doing some research and find this Seamaster automatic from 1965. In my view, the black dial is original and in quite good condition (there are some age spots around the Omega sign and the date window). 562 caliber. Case number 166.002. Serviced in 2019.

Price USD 1400. Do you think it is fair ? Bit overpriced in my opinion, but I'd appreciate your thoughts.
Please do not hesitate if you need more info.

Thank you very much

$1400 is a good price, if you're the seller. As a buyer, not so much.

it looks like a redial. but no expert....
I would really like better, straight on photos, without the glare, to really know.

Thanks @efauser. What would be a fair price for you ?
I would recommend doing a sold listing search for that reference on eBay.

I don't have any other photos unfortunately. But I can ask.
There are lots of redial on ebay, but I think a good price would be around USD 700 (not an expert, still learning a lot)

Thanks for your help

The dial looks original imo.
The hands are missing lume and possibly so is the dial - it’s hard to tell!
Price is dealer level and around 50% - 60% too high.

To have the hands be that dirty and the markers and date window that clean makes me very suspicious. Even if it is original, it's much too expensive by half.

It's hard to say with this one. If I can not proof it's a redial every watch got the benefit of the doubt. So I vote original as well.

But really guys (and girls)... ? EUR 675 for a black dial seamaster in stainless steel? Remember the 166.010 here on OF for EUR 1200. Gone in 60 seconds... It was a great example but still. I rarely see a original black dial seamaster for EUR 675. But I do admit my search time for watches is a bit less then before.

Pretty watch.

Shoot for $750 given the economic conditions and I think you’ll be happy.
