·Up for grabs is an Omega Speedmaster Pre-Moon Straight Lug
105.003 reference, so called "Ed White" Speedmaster
220879XX serial number circa 1964 production
Excellent vintage condition case without any major dings or dents. No corrosion. Nicely defined lugs.
Dial is original, step with applied logo. Dial is damage free with a slight fade to it as seen in pictures. The tritium is mostly gone from plots as seen in pictures. Hands are period correct with drop baton chrono Seconds hand.
Bezel is a very attractive faded gray Dot Over 90 in excellent vintage condition.
Caseback is original, with clear and crisp Hippocampus engraving. Stamped 105.003-64 inside.
Bracelet is an Omega 7912 semi-stretchable flat link with correct "6" end-pieces and '64 date code on clasp. Excellent and tight condition.
Watch comes with Omega 1964 inner and outer boxes, Omega wallet, Omega guarantee booklet which was never filled out, but print date indicates 1964, manual booklet, and used NATO style strap.
The previous owner has had the movement serviced by Bob Ridley and the receipt from that $1,440 service will be included with sale. During the service, Bob has put on a period correct chrono Seconds drop baton hand. This is noted in the service paperwork.
