Dear all. I am hereby putting a cal. 25-45 Certina DS Automatic from 1964 up for sale. This piece is in fair condition. The dial has aged evenly to a deep champagne colour without blemishes. At 1 o'clock there seems to be a small foreign object which I assume can be removed. The tritium lume is all present as is all text. The hands are blued (unsure if they are heat-treated or lacquered) and feature full lume which, like the lume on the dial, has aged beautifully. The case is, bar a small nick at 6 o'clock on the front and some light marks on the caseback, in good condition with only superficial scratches. The lightly etched serial number on the caseback is clearly visible, a sign of healthy case condition. The size is 36mm and the lug width is slightly above 18mm, making for some frustrating strap matches - all part of the charm of Certina DS ownership The crown is an unoriginal aftermarket piece. I have only worn the watch for a few days and haven't noticed anything untoward in that period. There are a few service marks in the caseback, but recent service history is unknown. I've changed the caseback gasket as the previous one was ancient. I am asking €190 for this Certina via PayPal, tracked shipping included. I will be happy to take returns within a week of receiving the watch. Watch and I are located in Denmark, EU. First to offer full asking price will get it, regardless of other ongoing trade discussions. Please do not contact me if your primary objective is to move this on for profit.
Another watch that would be a great start to a new collector. Is it "perfect"? No. Ist it affordable? Yes. Can you bear a turtle imprint on your wrist? Always! @STANDY could provide some encouragement on this one, surely it's worth the cost of a case of average single malt?
It went to a more seasoned collector and will spend the coming times in much, much warmer climates than it has been used to Anyone looking for these should be aware that they'll forever ruin your experience of Omega Seamasters etc. An unreasonably nice watch.
To add to what @ConElPueblo said, this was spotted down under in one of those warmer environments. Original owner who had bought it new and his one and only watch. Still on it's original bracelet.
So was it you @GuiltyBoomerang If so dibs for a mate at work @Patg who I told about it and just missed it.
