    Hi all,

I've come across this on eBay and as a newbie I was wondering if it's any decent? It's up for auction.

Buyer claims the dial is original, original signed crystal, original signed crown, and a calibre 550 movement with 17 jewels.

    Thanks OF!

No doubt, looks very good but I see no Tritium T though lumed dial and hands! Can anyone explain?

From todays "Which Vintage Omega you are wearing today"

If early 60’s it could be pre ‘T’s being placed on the dial so not necessarily a problem.
It all looks good to me and even crown is correct.

Yes, believe it's 1963 so that could very well explain it. I'll keep my eye on the auction and fingers crossed I'll come away with my first purchase at the end of it all! Thanks as always OF for your pearls of wisdom!

The 550 movement is the 17 jewel version of the European 552 movement, made for the US market to keep down import duties. Not appreciably inferior from what I remember reading somewhere. Case perhaps just a tad too polished for perfectionists but everything looks original and the dial is very good.

As it's for auction, what would you say is the value of this piece/upper limits of a top bid?
