Those on the forum may find this 105.002 of interest. Seems to be a genuine example who's most remarkable attribute may be its price. How does the condition of the dial, lume and hands compare to other collectible examples in this price range? I suspect several forum members have this reference in their collection. Please share photos of your 105.002.

Great looking examples don't seem to come along all that often too. A serious buyer would likely ask for movement photo, again, if a serious buyer (with intent to buy).

Iv'e seen not-as-good examples sell else where for Much Much more than the one listed here on OF ...

The hands look old, but how do you know they are original?

    Hi

As the Seller of this Watch I am happy to answer any questions around the Watch via the message facility (pm).

I never open any of my Watches and leave that task to my Watchmaker....Swiss Time Services , Omega UK's appointed Vintage restoration & Service specialist.

Movement condition is of course , near perfect for a 52yr old....I think the price is pitched well....perhaps I should revise it (I'm also tempted to see what the real Market price actually is) ! :)

    Best - Neil

Last November I asked STS to service my 105.003 and was told they could not do so due to Omega's new regulations re cal 321. I later asked them if they would just fit a new crystal and was told they could not touch them in any way and any work at all would have to be done by Bienne.

    Hi

Yes , that's the current position with STS and Cal. 321 movements due to them being a Cat4 repair.

Just to clarify....STS are my regular Watchmaker....this particular Watch was Serviced Privately by an Omega Trained Technician....I'm sure they would open the Caseback considering it's me ;)

Any further questions by pm please -

    Best - Neil

The serial is in the correct range for it to be stick hands, and in the condition they're in, and the overall condition the whole watch was in when it was found, it was apparent that it'd had them for a very long time, this was a watch that had not been prettied up or sorted out when it was bought, it was a "raw" buy.

If there's something you seen in them that makes it appear otherwise I'm all ears though.

19.58 million is about the first production block of 105.002s, all produced end of 1962 & 1963, just in continuation to 2998-62. For this reason, original were probably alpha hands, but that could have been replaced e.g. 5 years after during the first service.

    I miss-wrote that, the serial is 20.520M not 19.5M

Are 105.002 stick hands and 105.003 stick hands different at all? I know the 003 dial is a bit larger

Can you imagine that they introduce a new hands style and a few weeks/months later, modify their size for the 105.012 and later 105.003? Don't think so.
