Dear OF, Time has come to part with my perhaps favorite Kontiki. I am of course talking about this 34mm version with uncommon 'coffin' dial variation. It is fully original, including the crown and crystal with date loupe and Eterna 5 ball logo in the center. It is paired with its original Gay Frères bracelet and the pair is in spectacular shape. People generally tend to prefer larger watches, however Eterna happens to have used their best Kontiki iteration for the 34mm case size instead of its larger 37mm counterpart. The latter - in my opinion - is bulky and unrefined, especially since they use the same 18mm size bracelets. The 34mm cases, instead, are very balanced and elegant, much reminiscent of the Polerouter style cases. Perhaps this shot on a leather strap illustrates this better than with the bracelet fitted. It wears great regardless. The lume has aged nicely and the hands and markers match well. The watch is in truly excellent shape, seldom seen. The medal is in excellent condition, too. The bracelet will fit up to 18cm wrists. I do not know the movement type since it is a radium dial watch and I do not open those. It was not serviced in my possession. I let it run for a few cycles on my timegrapher. The time deviation measured is between +5 and +15.
