Hello Richard and welcome to OF.

Unfortunately your watch has a redial, ie the dial has been re-printed. This diminishes the collector value enormously. Also it has the wrong crown and the case has also quite some wear to it. The box is modern and has nothing to do with this 60's watch. The seller's description is very flowery indeed....IMO this watch has not spent any time in a display case. The seller hardly mentions the dial.....I'd say he's fully aware of what he is selling. I can't comment on the movement as the pictures are too small.

The description is indeed very flowery but second line of the description is an immediate falsehood.

As @cristos71 says, the dial has been inaccurately refinished and the case has been polished.

Given the exuberant description I dread to think what the seller was charging for the watch.

I should return the watch if you can.

Unfortunately Richard, I fully agree with the comments above. This is not an all original watch as the seller claims. The spelling of chronometer is wrong for this age of watch which is a sure fire sign it’s been redialled. The minute track also looks weird making me think it’s a dome dial with a pie pan minute track

I concur with all of the comments above.

If you can, return the watch as "not as described".

If this was on eBay, keep all communication to eBay, do not interact with the seller outside of eBay messaging.

Parking any sugarcoating for a second, that’s a dreadful, dreadful watch for the reasons outlined above. Please try and return it if you can.
