Just purchased this one previous owner 5512 after it was found at the back of a drawer. This watch was a daily wearer as can be seen up until her husband passed away over 10 years ago! It comes with service papers from Rolex in 1975 when a full service and new crystal cost £14.26!! It has a completely knackered Tudor clasp 9315 from 1982 and I will let the pics do the talking. All I have done is just given it a little clean. Nice find !
The bracelet is only missing a pin from what I can see from your pics.
Hands have been changed during service.
    Long five insert looks original.
Crown looks original which is strange if the watch was serviced by Rolex.

Yes but it is very well worn and they only changed the seals at service as I have the old plexi and two rubber seals. Insert is original and the hands have been changed at some point and it has a small drag mark on the dial which is a shame but hey it is nearly 60 years old and was worn daily!

I have seen much worse, like relumes, service dials or reprinted dials. It is a nice honest look with original parts(like original rotor), I like that much more than a merchant prepared watch. And it is yours with a true history.

What a spectacular find! Someone did a bit of polishing on it, but a fantastic example. Very well done!

I have this chat site(Next Door) for my neighborhood. I need to send out a note offering to purge sock drawers of nasty old watches.

absolutely incredible. Just when you think the market is saturated so much I see these single owner watches popping up. Glad to see there are still treasures to find out there!
