    Hi group,

I am looking for some help in what I have here...

The watch is an Omegas Seamaster, manual wind with sweeping hands. The insides of the watch tell me it’s a 1961.

    Serial Number 1808xxxx
    Movement 600

My question is the dial...it doesn’t look like any other Omega from the time period...any ideas on what it is and what I have here? 4031F6D5-A659-40A8-8D8D-0D880F572711.jpeg

Also - any idea on a value here?

    Case reads 14759 SC 61

What hands should be on it?

It should have Alpha (or Lance) hands, yours has Dauphine hands.

The original dial was likely discoloured/stained or even damaged so it was stripped and re-painted and re-inked and then lume was applied.

It's not a fake and it only worries serious collectors. For an everyday wearer it's fine, just like a vintage car that's had a spray job.

Thank you! I am just starting to get into these vintage watches - especially omega.
