    Hi Everyone

    For sale is my 1961 Croton Nivada Grenchen CASD.

    Are you into ::book:::
    1. Skindiving? This watch tells elapsed time under water.
    2. Flying? It converts to aviators 12-hr recorder. As an Aviator Sea Diver, the CASD has you covered on both fronts :whistling: :D

    3. Sailing? It adjusts for 5 minute starter’s warning.
    4. Refereeing? It includes a stop watch for timing sports.
    5. Racing? It gives a cars MPH over measured course.
    6. Globe-trotting? It shows the time at point of destination.
    7. Doctoring? It measures pulse.
    8. Need to measure time out stop to rest? It can do that too.
    9. Or simply just need a watch to tell the time? The CASD has your back for the smallest requirements :coffee:

    Originally marketed as having “more uses than ever counted” (despite those same ads counting out the 9 uses listed above), this is essentially the Swiss knife of watches. A real Jack of all trades, master of… well in this instance, not the chrono ::rimshot::. Oof bad joke… :D Well, as the joke alludes to, this is the first generation CASD known as “Chronograph” before it was later renamed to “Chronomaster.” I will see myself out.

    Overall, for being 63 years young, this piece is in great condition. As I haven’t been with it since new, I can’t say it is unpolished, but I can say it retains its sharp case lines. However, it does of course show wear commensurate with age. The 38mm case accepts 20mm straps and is a very comfortable size to wear. The watch has a service history and proof will be provided to the new owner. I can discuss further details of the service via PM. The bezel rotates in both directions as it should. The matte black dial is in excellent condition, and like the hands, retains the original radium lume. The start/stop & reset pusher engage nicely, operate as they should, and the hands reset precisely. The crown winds smoothly. I don’t have a timegrapher, so I can’t give precise measurements, but the Venus 210 movement does run a little fast. As you can see in the movement photo, the regulator is on the fast side, so it looks like there is room for adjustment. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I have run out of straps to give away, so this is being offered as head only.

    I am asking $1,800 with CONUS shipping included.
    I would consider trades from established members.

    The watch and myself are located in Northern California. Shipping within the US will be expedited. Shipping globally will be at cost and at the buyers preferred speed. I will accept payment via PP F&F or Wise. Returns not accepted.
