·Good evening everybody,
up for sale here is an Omega Seamaster from the 60s, as classic as they come.
The Watch
Omega Seamaster
Reference: 14700
Movement: cal. 552 automatic
Serial: 17364943
Year: 1960
Case: 34mm stainless steel
Dial: original white dial, steel furniture, applied Omega logo
Strap: black leather, new
Condition
Dial & Hands: Original white dial with maybe a hint of champagne in excellent condition. All the writing is present and clearly visible. Hands and indexes show no deterioration, judging by the color of the luminous stuff the hands might have been relumed in the past.
Case: Original 34mm stainless steel case in good condition. Minimal scratches all around, nothing major. I’m quite sure the case was polished at some point, yet by someone who knew what he/she was doing, as the edges/chamfers are obviously intact and the case remains attractive. Hippocampus on the case back is also sharp and has the circularly brushed finish around it.
Crown: Original Omega crown which I believe to be a service replacement.
Crystal: Original Omega crystal (logo edged in the middle) with a few minor scratches, no cracks though.
Movement: Original cal. 552 in very clean condition. Sets, winds and runs great, service history is unknown though.
Strap: Comes on the new black leather strap, as depicted. I should have a few other colors, should you feel a bit more daring.
