I am selling a 1960s Audemars Piguet Ultra Thin Cal 2003 Dress Watch that I picked up recently in an attempt to prevent myself from shelling out for a more expensive watch on my list...long story short, it didn't work so I need to find a new home for this guy so I can justify purchasing one of the watches I originally had in mind. I am requesting $1,400 OBRO, including shipping (CONUS only; Int'l to be discussed). This is below the price I paid for the watch at the end of last year and I'm not looking to make a profit, but rather recoup my initial outlay to the extent possible. I am happy to accept reasonable offers. Watch is located in SF, willing to meet face to face if local. Some details on the watch below: Year: Circa 1960s Movement: Historically significant cal 2003 (more on that below) Hands: Original Case: 32mm; serial no. 16889; caseback is engraved "Clip Squires Quogue, N.Y." Service history: I purchased this from Seregins in SF and the watch was serviced beforehand Strap: Aftermarket brown Alligator Some background (from TZ): AP first developed in the ultra-thin Cal 2003 manual movement in conjunction with ebauche maker LeCoultre in 1946 and it used for many years in their ultra-thin dress watches. 1.64 mm thick and 20.8 mm in diameter (9'''), it had the distinction of being the thinnest production movement in the industry. It passed out of the AP catalog about 10 years ago although other companies still use it, VC in particular. Many manual wind skeleton watches use this movement as the base. It is thinner than the Patek Philippe Cal. 177 (1.77 mm), the JLC 849 (1.85 mm) and the Piaget 9P (2.0 mm). It is considered a very reliable and durable movement for an ultra-thin production. Apologies for the picture quality, this is my first time doing this. Thanks OF for the space.
Bump and reduced to $1,900 OBRO - the watch wears really nicely on the wrist despite being on the smaller side by today's standards.
Long overdue bump and reduced to $1,500 OBRO - have my eye on something else, so hoping to get this sold
Bump with some new photos - still wanting in quality, but certainly an improvement over the first set.
