Next one on the block, a classy, timeless and very wearable...

Longines Flagship in 18K with cal. 340

    at a glance
    Flagship ref. 3403
    - serial no. 115xxxx dates back to ca. 1960
    - cal. 340, in house movement with patented ball bearing excenter rotor
    - original dial with rose gold markers and hands
    - 18K gold case (35 mm without crown)
    - original crown, worn Longines logo
    - teju lizard strap

    the dial
The original dial of this Flagship is in extraordinary good condition without blemishes or pitting. I dare to say mint, please study the pics.

    the case

Nice 18K case in rose gold. No dings, dents or heavy scratches. Has seen some polishing in the last 58 years, but case is still gorgeous.

    the movement
Clean Longines in-house automatic caliber ref. 340 beautifully finished. In the early 60ies this movement was the most advanced Longines had to offer for 3 handed watches.
The watch winds and sets very smooth and the movement is running strong, no known service history though.

    the strap
The Flagship comes on a barely worn high quality teju lizard strap.

    the price
I am asking 1050 EUR OBO (or the equivalent in USD) to me for this timeless 1960 Flagship.

    the fine print
Bankwire is preferred, paypal please add 4% (payment to be done in Euro please in case of paypal).
The watch and I are located in Germany. I will be happy to work out the best shipping option with you. Free signed and insured EMS shipping is included.

I have references here on OF, on German watch forums and a lot of positive feedback on ebay.

Please have a look at the pictures and feel free to answer to this thread or PM me directly if you have any questions. No returns unless condition of the watch is grossly misrepresented.

Thanks for looking!:) and also many thanks to OF for the possibility to offer!

I’m starting to clue-in that Longines made some pretty decent watches back in the day... what a beauty ::love::

This was designed to be a presentation watch, which is why there's no raised relief 3 mast ship on the outside of the caseback. What's uncommon is nobody had an inscription engraved onto it.

Have been on a bit of a spree with gold watches of late. Longines got me into the vintage watch game and couldn’t pass this one up, even if I had to look at the post 20 or so times before finally pulling the trigger. I understand the appeal of modern V&C, Patek, Lange & Sohne, etc, but find it hard to justify the cost when you can find beauties like this in precious metal for such reasoanble prices.

My wife is going to ::censored:: bricks if this is delivered when she is home. She was here when my first vintage Omega arrived a while back. 18K as well, very reasonably priced, classic manual movement, serviced recently. “Omega now too?!?! For ::censored:: sake, can’t you stick with Longines?”. Please oh please show up when she is at work.
