Good day OF,

I am considering this vintage Longines and would welcome your opinions on whether this would be a good acquisition.
From my research, it is a 9ct gold case (with Dennison and Baume stampings) and the movement is a Longines 19.4S manual wind with a serial number that dates it to 1960 or 1961.
The dial, to me, looks original and in good condition (I don't have more pictures).
The case is not bad and the movement is clean.

The crown is definitely a replacement.
The price is $650 US. I assume it would also need a service which will add to the cost. Is it worth it?

Are you based in the UK? If so remember you will be charged VAT on the import. I think it鈥檚 an attractive watch but the price is a little on the high side especially if importing.

Thanks for your opinion! It is already where I am based so there are no import costs. Agreed it is attractive and my concern is the price. Damn , the prices can be barriers to a good piece of watch history!
