Hello all. I found this watch in cleaning out some of my grandfather's old stuff. From the research I've been able to do, I've determined that:
It is from about 1956. (serial number 100001384)
    It is 14k solid gold.
Looking at watchresources.com pictures, the bezel is similar to the "King" model, but the face is more like the 1909, but not exactly the same.
Inside the case is scribed FLO-4070-70. Perhaps a customer or order number?
Movement is a 23Z, 17 jewel, also marked LXW.

I'd like to know the following:
    Is 1956 correct?
    What model is it?
Is it a rare or unusual model, or something that is very collectible?
From what I've seen on ebay, unless it's very rare, I figure it's around $400-$500 if serviced. Does that sound about right?

I don't normally wear a watch, but I'd like to have something to wear when I get dressed up.
Can anyone recommend someplace to get it serviced? I know better than to try to clean it myself.

    Thanks
    Vince
