everything looks good on this watch to me, I am new at this though so cant promise anything. But what puzzles me is there is no Swiss Made marking on the dial. The watch is a 2846 with a 501 caliber movement.

It is almost surely an older redial. That style of "Seamaster" was used a bit later on.

I'm not in love with the overall condition of that watch. I'd pass on it unless it was very cheap and you want to put in the work to restore it.

Even then, you'd be better off with a fully original model in better condition.

I'm learning here so when you say "redial" do you mean refinished or the dial was switched from another watch?

Refinished. If the dial was correct and switched from another watch, there would likely be no way I could tell.

Most Omegas from this period came standard with several different style dials.

Edit - This watch just sold on our sales forum

Same case reference. Dial looks to be the same except for the color. 1st photo doesn't show "Swiss Made" 2nd photo does. Even I'm still learning.

But look at thethickness of the font. Looks far too thick to me.

Agreed. That has been redone in an older style (also the M of automatic wouldn't be straight sided in this font). But just wanted to flag that a curvy S can be correct in the earliest Seamasters.
