For sale or trade is a 1955 Omega Seamaster 2846 reference with a nice, original waffle dial. The dial has developed a light patina. The case is in nice, unpolished condition with sharp bevels on the bezel and lugs and clearly visible “Seamaster” and “Waterproof” text on the case back. The 500 caliber movement winds and sets well but is running slow so a service is needed. Additional details are below, and feel free to reach out with any questions. Dial: Original, non-refinished, white waffle dial is very nice with a light, even patina. Hands have developed light oxidation and radium lume is intact but has darkened. Radium on the markers has developed a nice color but is missing from some markers. "Swiss" is present below the 6 marker as expected (partially obscured by crystal retention ring). Case: Original 34.5mm 2846-1 reference case is in very nice, unpolished condition. Bevels on the lugs and “Seamaster" and "Waterproof" on the case back are still clearly visible. Crown: Original signed clover crown. Crystal: Original crystal (signed with Omega logo at center) is clean. Movement: Original 500 caliber movement is clean and winds and sets well, however it is running slow so it needs service. Service history is unknown. Serial number dates the watch to 1955. Strap: Comes on a generic brown leather strap with steel buckle (not the strap pictured). This watch also looks great on a beads of rice bracelet which is available for extra cost (PM me as I have a couple options). Price is $1000.
