·Up for sale is one I’ll surely regret selling but that just doesn’t get enough wrist time. It’s a very uncommon jumbo sized Omega cursive text Geneve with a nicely patinated two-tone textured dial and stunning pink/rose gold accents. These cursive Geneves were Omega’s top-of-the-line manual wind watches in the ‘50s, and relatively few came in this very wearable 36mm case size. The watch is fully original as far as I can tell, including the signed crystal. See below for full info, and feel free to message me with any questions.
Dial: Original, non-refinished two-tone honeycomb dial features pink/rose gold markers and hands. The inner portion of the dial has developed an even, attractive patina that paired with the accents make it absolutely stunning.
Case: Original jumbo-size 36mm stainless steel 2748 reference is in nice, unpolished condition. Bevels on the bezel and lugs and brushing on the caseback are still clear.
Crown: Original signed crown.
Movement: Original 266 caliber movement runs, winds, and sets well, however it is running very slow and so a service/adjustment is recommended. Serial number dates the watch to 1955.
Crystal: Original signed crystal (Omega logo etched in center).
Strap: Comes on the light brown Hodinkee strap pictured.
Asking $1,500 shipped worldwide from the US. Bank transfer/Wise (or similar) for payment. OF seller reviews are here. Returns are accepted if the watch is grossly misrepresented.
