1954 omega valuation? Plus information please

I'm after more information on my watch please and a rough idea of what's its worth?
All i know is that it's a 1954-original dial, original crown, recently serviced, fully working and that it's had a new strap fitted from Preston&Duckworth jewellers.

Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks!

Upon a bit of research, I believe that syringe hands are correct for this, in which case the minute hand is a replacement.

No Swiss or Swiss Made at 6 o’clock? Is that correct for these dials?

The only dial that I have found that is the same is on a 1946 suveran

It’s not necessarily called anything. Not all Omegas are part of a named line

It’s a 2639. The caseback says 2640 (which is the center seconds variant of the 2639) but it’s a 2639. The syringe hands are correct. Not sure about the crown which is usually button shaped.
Interestingly, because of the center seconds complication making the caliber thicker, you’ll find 2640 casebacks on some 2639’s but never the other way around.
cheers

To me, esp if it’s serviced, it’s easily a 450€ watch. But the cognoscenti around these parts often value them lower.

I would also add that the 2639 is a charming « no name » reference with a contemporary size (36mm without crown) and which offers many dial and hand variations for reasonable money.
Ive created the #omega2639appreciationsociety hashtag on Instagram if you want to see what’s out there. Welcome to the society!

The Suveran has the ref.2400 and not 2640.

Not only 2400, there is also a rare Suverän with a central second ref 2425

Black dial 2639s usually go higher than €450 and if you can document the service that has taken place, it will add a small amount to the price. I wouldn't be surprised to see a watch like this go for around €600 in an open auction. If the dial and lume condition had been better, it would have been a €800 watch in the right sales place, easily.
