Continuing my New Years Resolutions, up for consideration is a 1954 Seamaster Automatic with period-correct buckle. My asking price is $450USD including shipping from Australia. Dimensions: 34mm wide, 36.9mm with crown, and 42mm lug to lug. 18mm lug width. The two-tone dial has turned a lovely brownish colour with slightly more patina in the bottom left of the dial. Correct, original clover crown and signed caseback. The crystal is not original and has numerous scratches that are more easily discerned under light. There appears to be some loss of material on the case around the mineral glass at 12 o'clock, and in between 7 and 8 o'clock. Case has not been polished in my eyes and shows signs of wear. The caseback is of the internal gasket type, and the 'Seamaster' and 'Waterproof' have been worn down but are still visible. Caseback shows signs of use, and I believe that the two lines running across it are marks from when a canvas or nylon strap were used. Above 'Waterproof' there is also a minor marking, either from a watchmaker or a jeweler (more likely.) Internal caseback designation is 2846-1 SC, and shows a service inscription. The Cal 501 movement appears clean and is in running condition. 14mil serial dates it to 1954. The watch has not been serviced under my care, so please have this done if you are to wear the watch on a daily basis. The Omega signed buckle is correct for the era and the watch comes on a used Hirsch Dakota brown leather strap. If desired I can change it to a different strap as the bottom part has wear and a bend where the holes are. For reference my wrists are 6.5" (16.5cm.) No refunds are possible unless the watch is not as described. I have positive feedback as both a buyer and seller on these forums and on the /watchexchange reddit page. I also have 100% positive feedback as a seller on eBay. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to PM me!
