Just had my father's watch repaired and serviced.
I promised not to identify who did the work so please don't ask.
I can say he is well known and has been praised for the work he has done.
I was lucky he was able to supply original Omega parts and reseal original crown. DSCN6037.JPG DSCN6041.JPG DSCN6044.JPG DSCN6052.JPG

I am really pleased with the refurb although I did not have it polished.

Better to leave it unpolished - looks great!

The hands were relumed as old lume was flaking, not suprised after 63 years.
Watch was purchased new in Persia (Iran) in 1955 when my Dad was working on building oilfields.
He bought my mother a gold ladies watch which she still wears and has never been touched.

    Awesome condition!

One-owner pieces are the best collectibles most of the time. At least if you have a caretaking owner :D

Wouldn't have it relumed because a slightly flaking lume adds to most vintages but that's certainly my personal opinion (shared with many others in this forum I think ).

It's invaluable to have such a watch with a family history! Wear it in good health and never sell it
