Greetings all,

I'm looking for a new home for my last remaining vintage Omega. This one is a caliber 283 from 1953, case model 2640-6 SC. The case is unpolished gold-capped stainless steel (35mm) and the crown (unsigned), crystal, and dauphine hands are original to the watch. The art deco-type numerals are terrific and do not show up very often. The watch was professionally serviced in 2021 and keeps good time, typically +/- 10-15 seconds per day. This is a fabulous dress watch, but I've moved on to other things.

Price is $995 shipped, and I'll include the cordovan strap as pictured. I have many positive references here at OF that I can provide to interested buyers.

Thanks much.

I'm curious as to why this watch at such a nice price is getting little interest.

Is it a re-dial?

Forum etiquette requires that you start a separate thread to have such a discussion and not muddy the sales post. But briefly: the watch is quite nice, the price is reasonable, and it is not a re-dail. If you like it, you should buy it.

Not a redial, and as already mentioned, it's poor form to make that accusation in someone's for sale thread, if you are not sure.

I purchased a watch from @mswilks last year and have nothing but great things to say about him, as a seller, and the condition of the watch on arrival.

I wasn't making an accusation that it's a redial. I was sincerely asking why does no one have interest in this, it doesn't make a lot of sense.

The glass isn't always half empty.

I think that it's quite an attractive watch. It's just waiting for the right buyer to come along.

The most inappropriate post I've read in a long time. Terrible. Please think before you post!
