Dear all. I am hereby putting my Mido Powerwind from 1953 up for sale. The Mido is from 1953 and is in fair shape. The dial has aged unevenly with some rose tint to the right and left side and there is some light corrosion on the hands. The semi-raised markers are lovely and the script is crisp and the watch presents well. The case has some wear, but the correct brushed finish on the sides is intact. The crown is the correct, unsigned type. There is a rather clumsy inscription on the caseback, but aside from that the Taubert & Fils-produced case presents well. The dimensions are 33.5mm diameter and 16mm lug width. The lugs are drilled and the case screws down. The build quality of these are amongst the best of the era and would make a contemporary Omega blush in comparison. The Mido 916R is unserviced by me, works on winding, setting and wearing. I have not measured accuracy and service history is unknown. I am offering this one for €110, tracked shipping included via bank transfer. I love the playful font, small, on an otherwise very straight laced dial: A squirrel would be very approving of what you asked for this very interesting watch. No wonder it sold so quickly. Nicely done, again, @ConElPueblo !
