Asking $450 shipped in the U.S. Selling head only. Would make a nice starter Omega or daily beater. Case shows some markings, a couple of deeper dings on the sides of the case. Case has been lightly polished but lugs are still fat and gold cap is still in good shape. Nice original dial and hands - dial has a light gold patina which I like. Movement appears pretty clean but I do not know the service history - it keeps pretty good time for now but I can't guarantee accuracy. Sold as-is and would recommend a service if you're planning to use it daily. Feel free to send any questions my way!
Thanks! There seems to be some info here: http://www.usna55tributes.org/files/John_D2._Hague_obit.pdf
Lovely Kyle, GLWS! Ensign is the rank earned by midshipman upon graduation so yes it stands to reason He served 28 years with a final posting of Vietnam, beyond the end of the war as denoted by Paris peace accord October 1972 and may have been on one of the last ships stationed there . . .
I think it is Cool to have a watch with , somewhat , documented history. I agree, good watch for a first starter. Thick lugs, Seamaster, Bumper, and nice dial. Jump in , the water is fine here!
