·Greetings OF,
Thinning the collection a bit to make room for a modern Omega, so up for sale today is my 1956/57 Seamaster ref. 2937-1. Let’s get into it:
It has a lovely, original black/gilt dial that’s developed a unique “spider web” patina that goes from inky black to quite pronounced depending on the light. I’ve done my best to show all the angles in the photos. Gold hardware and sub seconds round things out. I can only recall seeing one or two other dials with this exact and winsome combination.
The oversized stainless steel case is 36mm and has a notable wrist presence compared with its more common 34mm brethren. Some minor dings and marks, but it is, to my eye, unpolished and honest.
The movement is a cal. 267 which was serviced by the previous owner in June of 2020. It isn’t the prettiest 30mm (with noticeable plating loss) but it’s running strong, winds with ease, and sets smoothly.
I purchased the watch from a well known member here in August of 2020. Here’s the link to the original ad: https://omegaforums.net/threads/vin...er-fantastic-black-dial-36mm-serviced.117868/ The seller has given me permission to link to his original post, and more photos (including one taken during service), can be viewed there.
Watch comes with the strap in the pictures. It’s a lightly used Hirsch, and I think it pairs with the watch quite nicely. I’m also happy to include a cheaper, unused leather strap instead.
I paid $1100 USD for this watch 1.5 years ago and that’s what I’d like for it today. CONUS shipping is on me. International shipping is an option but a CONUS sale is preferred. Payment via PayPal FF or Zelle. No returns unless I’ve grossly misrepresented something.

Thanks for looking and thanks to OF for the space!
