For sale is an Omega manual wind 2639-10. The watch measures 36 mm in diameter and 42mm lug to lug with a lug width of 18 mm. The watch runs well and looks great on the wrist. I bought this watch in 2020 from another OF member, and I’ve probably worn it less than 10 times since then. I’m trying to thin out my collection and will be offering watches for sale on OF that I think the community might be interested in.
My asking price is $725 via Paypal f&f (g&s for established members +4%) or Zelle. The price includes shipping in the US. International shipping is available and would be discussed with potential buyers. I can also offer face-to-face pick up in the DC metro region with a coffee or beer on me.
Dial & Hands - I really like this dial with the Arabic numerals. The dial is mostly clean with a stain just before 4 and some marks on the subdial. I assume the lume on the hands and dial is the original radium.
Case - Case has been polished but still maintains some of its original definition. There is some pitting, scratches, and other blemishes that I’ve done my best to capture in the photos. I sourced a new crystal, which my watchmaker installed for me, and I replaced the winding stem and crown with correct parts.
Movement - Cal. 266 movement sets and runs well. I have to say, this caliber is a pleasure to wind. I was told this watch was serviced by the OF member I bought it from. It is very clean and runs reasonably well, so I’m inclined to believe him. The watch is losing 90 seconds / day, but the regulator is set almost all the way to “R”, so maybe the slow timekeeping could be solved for by regulating the movement. The power reserve measured 44 hours and 20 minutes the last I timed it.
Strap / Bracelet - I’m selling the watch head-only, but I can include the lightly used leather strap in the pictures if a potential buyer is interested.
Feedback and Terms - I like to think that I am an honest, reliable and communicative seller. In the rare instance that something does go wrong, I do my best to address it in a way that is fair for the buyer.
