Stunning! I have the ribbon/shark lug version. Definitely want to add a twisted/bombay lug version down the line. Great pick up!

Here’s my just arrived late 50s cal 89. In the 18kg.
Really love the Geneva striping and overall finish on the Movement. B679B076-4EBF-420F-A90B-B4782E144DB8.jpeg 34C3F8AA-C0C9-4CA5-B069-85F907BCA3A4.jpeg 22789637-3119-42C4-AB3C-DC042F9AD903.png

I'm not usually much for YG, but those vintage IWC's are gorgeous. Congrats on the new addition to the OP and to all those showing their treasures!

Distinctive lug designs from these Swiss WMs like IWC, particularly in the 40-50s really have a way of dressing up the typically staid formal wear watch. They really do jump out at you. Nice one OP..

Ok, so is not 1950s, but I think it is beautiful anyway. It IS classically beautiful as a cushion form case, identical to a trench watch but deriving from the late 1930s

Very nice all the way around. The 1950s and early 1960s dress watches from IWC, Omega, and the like have just never been equaled.

Came late to this thread - thanks for showing these beautiful pieces, it's made up for a rough week. Thanks to @guaranteed.rohu for starting this thread. Here's a Cal 83 from 1942 to keep us going....

This is an absolute KNOCK OUT! I love those "bombay" lugs.

    Enjoy,

PS - this whole thread (and all the other IWC threads here) belong in the "High End" forum, not "Other Watch Brands"! ::popcorn::
