For your consideration, a 1950s Girad Perregaux Gyromatic 10k gold filled elegant dress watch. Girard-Perregaux is a Swiss watch manufacture dating back to 1791. Girard-Perregaux relies on being a manufacturer of movements and watches and a manufacturer of cases and bands. (Wikipedia). This dressy watch has a white/cream dial with golden applied hour markers. The 3, 6, 9, 12 o’clock markers are Arabic numerals and the others are stick markers. Behind each hour marker is a small patinaed lume dot. The hands are golden with the hour and minute hands sporting small lume strips. At 12 o’clock the applied GP marker can be found with Girard-Perregaux written just below. Above 6 o’clock the word Gyromatic can be found. The case is 10K gold filled, a thick layer of gold is applied, not plated. The case back is also gold filled and has the personalization G.D.I. The acrylic crystal is blemish free. The crystal has sign of age but no blemishes. The watch has few signs of use consistent with age. The dial is blemish free. The movement is an automatic (Gyromatic) GP movement. I do not know how to open the watch and therefore cannot provide detailed movement information and pictures. It comes on a glossy black genuine leather strap with an alligator print. It fits the dressy watch style very well. Size: lug to lug 34.5 mm, width 33.5 with crown, 31.5 mm without crown and 9.8mm high. Service history is unknown, but the watch runs great.
