Hi OF'ers,

I am curious about your opinion. I have found a lovely watch I am thinking of buying, but I want to be certain about the originality of the dial.

In my view, it looks original and clean, but I am missing the ''swiss'' or ''swiss made'' at the bottom.

I hope somebody can help!

Here are some pictures:

On a triple date you should start by making a comparison analysis of all the number 2's on the date track. With 13 in total there are plenty of opportunities for it to go wrong.....as you will soon see with your dial.

@cristos71 Thank you for this feedback! I didn't know this trick yet, but that does indeed make sense. I see significant differences between the 2's, so I presume that would indicate a redial?
I know some brands were more precise than others back in the day, but I assume this is out of the norm?

Compared to this one it's interesting to see the letters on the outside ring being in opposite directions for for example the ''12'' date

Here a triple date with original dial, look at the 2's on the date track- all identical.

When making a judgement like this, sharp photos are critical. The printing looks very poor, but I also see that the photos have severe compression artifacts.
