I'm new to this forum and it's a little bit overwhelming with so much information and beautiful timepieces, it's going to take a while to take it all in =)

I recently serviced an old Omega automatic that my father bought for 5 swedish crowns more than twenty years ago. The spring was broken but other than that it's in a beautiful condition. Let me know what you guys think of it.

Nice! May I ask why you have hidden the serial number?

Very nice, Electricl. I am hoping I'll be the proud owner of something similar soon.

'Course! And welcome to the Forum.
Hiding the serial number is a bit of a point of discussion, as you might well learn in near future. Some guys will show, others will not.
I personally hide the number, because I will share my watches' DNA gladly, but I want a small bit to stay 'indoors' for security-reasons.

Not a big deal as such, but hey, what can you do :taunt:

Thanks for posting photos of your watch, Electricl. It is very nice.

I'm another with an appreciation for the bumper Omega automatics.

Yes, but you have to take into account that 5 SEK 20 years ago is the equivalent of over 6.15 SEK today!

But seriously, that was more than a bagin. Great piece!
