1946 Breitling ref. 178 with Venus 170 Movement in All Original Condition

Offer for sale is my all original and untouched 1946 Breitling ref. 178 with Venus 170 movement. Exceedingly rare to find these today in original condition as so many are or have been rechromed on the early versions of the ref. 178. Although the case finish is showing some wear as would be expected for a piece of its age having been worn and used as intended, it still retains its sharp facets. The crystal, also original has not been polished and is still very clear. The dial is completely intact and legible and has not been cleaned, left alone having just a very slight patina that a light cleaning would make this dial fantastic but I have let be. Same for the hands which still beam with their original blue finish.
Inside the case back, the Venus 170 movement is an early signed piece in perfect condition, it's chronograph operation is working flawless as it should with smooth and crisp button functions. Runs spot on!
Dimensions are 43mm lug to lug and 35mm without crown. Watch wears surprising larger than one might expect.
