    Hello

I recently got this piece and was wondering if Omega manufactured this model for non-military purposes? When I looked it up online all listings seem to have the caseback markings indicating it was used by the military. This one, however, has a plain caseback.

    Ref. 2292
Serial seem to indicate that it is from 1943 20200731_155915.jpg 20200731_094745.jpg 20200731_085414.jpg

No, not sold outside the MoD. You have a refinished dial. Your lugs seem shorter; I side picture would be good. Your case back markings have been removed. That halves the value. And there is a problem with your middle case alloy compound in the rim, that is nearly gone opposite the crown and holds the back. Kind regards. Achim

And the shock setting for your balance is not original.

Thanks for taking the time to reply! Been trying to read about these WW watches and have read that the surplus watches were recased or redialed by the MoD. Are all of the MoD recasings/redials bear the Dennison stamp on the caseback, or some don't have it?

The MoD in 1956 re cased the good ones. No Dennison stamp inside the case back. read for yourself on the Net. Plenty of articles there.... A few kept the white dials, when in good condition. The rest followed the changed fashion and got black dials.your watch is a fantasy redialled old one. Not longer a MoD model. Kind regards. Achim
