I never thought I would sell any of my 30T2s but today I am, this is number 2 of 6 amazing watches that I am listing for sale this week. It was two tone dials like this one that first attracted me to 30T2s, and this dial is the most clean example in my collection. It doesn't however have such a sentimental value to me as the other ones, so as my collection of 30T2 has grown this one has become a little redundant, and so it is time to fly the nest so to speak! It is a 1943 'Fab Suisse' Omega 30T2 with case reference 2338 and measures 35mm in diameter excluding the crown. It is an absolute delight of a watch, which you'll no doubt agree when you look at the pictures below! Dial: For a 77 year old watch the dial is in remarkable shape, there is some spotting near 9 O'clock and a little dark patch on the outer minute track by 2 O'clock but otherwise is clean and in my opinion very beautiful. The two tone mirrored dial, beautifully reflects the light whilst the black arabic numerals create a visually bold and easy to read display. Case: The case appears to be unpolished and retains all original chamfers and edges. It is very sharp. Needless to say there are scratches and small digs, commensurate to the age of the watch and the many years of enjoyment I am sure it has shared with its owners. The lugs have spring bar holes for easy removal of the straps and the crown appears to be original. I believe the Italians would call this a cylinder case, or a coin case, based on its flat cylindrical form. Movement: The movement is a 30T2 and is running very well. I have not had it serviced during my ownership and offer no guarantees on accuracy. It is up to the buyers discretion if they wish to service it upon receipt of the watch. I have not experienced anything that concerns me, but as with all second hand watches, I recommend that they are serviced for your peace of mind. Strap: I've fitted the watch with a brand new, NOS genuine crocodile strap in dark brown which I think compliments this classy watch very well. I imagine it was made in the 1970s, but nonetheless these two are a great pairing. Box / Papers: There are no box and papers. Price: £1250 ONO net to me Please observe all photos and the description with care as I offer no returns.
