·1942 Omega Chronograph 27 C12 T1
As far as I understand, Omega chronographs from the 1940s typically featured heat-blued steel sweep chronograph hands.
The hand currently fitted on my watch is of that type; however, it is approximately 2 mm shorter than the original.
I should clarify that I am not assuming the „original“ hand was black based on a single photograph; rather, this conclusion comes from having seen multiple period examples of this reference fitted with black sweep chronograph hands.
Given this, which option would you consider more historically accurate:
a slightly shorter heat-blued hand, or a correctly sized black hand?
Any insight, references, or period examples would be greatly appreciated.
