Hi again! How about this one? I believe I've seen very similar, maybe identical one somewhere here on OF, but I can't find it now. Will keep looking... - 32mm - Fab Suisse - French market? - dial definitely isn't in perfect condition, but I don't think it should be cleaned/restored - I kind of like this old vintage vibe in this one and doesn't look like a redial (or does it?) - are (were) the numerals luminous? - no lume left on hands and to be honest, I like the look of these now, so I'd rather keep them as they are - you can't tell from attached pictures, but second hand has a blue tint - replaced? - early 40's, based on serial numbers? (9022xxx movement, 9839xxx caseback) - cal. 30T1? (I've learned where it's engraved just after taking those pictures, so I'll need to open the case again) - crystal probably replaced (it looks too good for 80 years) - movement seems to work without issues (I want it serviced/inspected prior to "long distance" test) I'm not used to this size, but I want to give it a try. What do you think? Can I get it to "reputable local watchmaker" or does it also require more vintage-experienced specialist to be dealt with? Thanks! Iz edit: Got it! It must be CK 2099
Izy, you have done your homework. To answer some of your questions: numerals are radium luminous - so should be the hands movement is a cal. 30 (no T1 or T2) blued hand is legitimate dial is in original condition most probably for the French market not sure about the reference though
Hi izydor, I have one that looks very similar to this. Looks like the serial numbers are also close. Mine is Cal 30. grumio
@grumio now that’s a nice one! Thank you for the pictures, they explain few things. Looking at my piece, I couldn’t tell all hands are blued. Plus, the part over hands doesnt match. Also couldn’t resist a feeling that something is not ok with the crown - like a different material or sth, looks crappy and obviously it’s a replacement. If you don’t mind, I’ll use your first pic as a reference when I visit watchmaker. Cheers
