1939 Omega 30T2 SC 33mm ID and Dial Discussion

I don't want any value, or details to try and sell this watch. I just thought it was cool as hell and seems to have every dial type possible associated with it and wanted to share.

Here's what I got so far;

Art Deco, Pontife hand, metallic copper, two-tone, Roman, technical, 24h, patina, tuxedo dial 🤣🤣🤣. Did I miss any.

Its an unusual 33mm size, seemingly unpolished stainless case with a 30T2 SC. I cannot find another one like it.

Don't worry, I have the original unsigned crown and stem.

I don't know if Omega produced any 18 jewels movement with 9.2 mil serial number.
9.2 was in the time of 30T1 if I remember correctly.

Could it be the 30T2SCPC or maybe a 30SCT2, the dial looks to be a copper toned version of this RCAF Tecron? 🤷‍♂️

Or maybe the 30SCT1, didn't they have a weird bridge to accommodate the centre seconds wheel though?

I have the exact same model with same dial and hands with serial number 102 at the end. Pretty sure it is a 30sct2.

I think yours is not a Techron. It should have luminous hands with Arabic numeral hour markers. The second hand has the counterweight.
Here is mine.

Mine does have the Roman numerals, but it also has the weighted second hand.

If any of the Australian boys here can recommend a watchmaker in Melbourne to restore the movement it would be greatly appreciated. I don't want my usual watchmaker to touch this one. He's very old and I'm very worried about damaging the hands and dial.

Omega did!

It is one of the early batches with the bad rosegold/copper plating where the gold content was very low. hence these movements are often badly oxidised. They look damaged, often the bridges and plates look awfully darkened and in various colours in one movement as if they were neglected over a long time while they have clean steel parts and sometimes even untouched shiny screw heads. The plating was very susceptible to oxidation due to the high content of copper ( 85 - 90% ) and about 10% silver (both form dark oxides and sulfides) besides the very low content of gold ( 3 % ).
I have several examples in my archive, all serial numbers starting with 9.245.xxx (102 - 880).

Jeez, how old? Ninety? Ninety Nine?

I'm old and have never damaged hands or dials.

Maybe try Rory Macdonald in Fairfield, he may be able to fit you in.
