A few weeks ago my grandfather's 1939 30T2 with wedge Roman Numerals on the face was stolen by thieves who broke into our house. See attached photos, both with the original gold case and a steel case that was used later as the gold case was warped. The movement number was 9454328 . The face is the same as this watch: https://www.vintage-portfolio.com/shop/verkauft/currently-in-service-omega-35mm-vintage-watch-30t2/ . I believe my grandfather's watch was bought in Warsaw or Lodz, Poland, right before the war, and miraculously survived.

I was wondering if any of you could help me learn more about the original watch. Likely the most I can do now is build a replica, but I would like to know more about the design of the face, case, regional customization, etc ...

With Great Appreciation for any information or suggestions,

Gill Pratt
