    I have an 18mm band I love.

Are there any silver toned vintage omegas that have an 18mm lug?

Hm...most of the ones I've seen have a 19mm lug, or they are gold toned.

In my experience, there are more vintage 18mm watches than any other length. 19mm comes next.

I must say that's a different approach. Must of us buy the watch first, then the strap! :p

Sometimes inspiration strikes - I'll see a really cool strap and think, "I don't have anything to put it on now, but it would look really cool on _x_ watch!"

And then I have to go and get myself an _x_ .... etc.

Here's the strap, mounted on my Seiko lord matic...I'm just not into the Seiko anymore.

The right strap can be the difference between a watch that's OK, and one that I love.

It's also much cheaper to get straps...they can completely change the look of a watch...much cheaper than buying watches!

This is especially true for natos and perlons, which can be changed very easily with no tools.

I'm always on the lookout for cool straps.

Hey guys, I'm a strap maniac myself too, the number of straps in my collection surpasses the number of my watches but I tend to grab straps that fit the current lug sizes of my watches - I have yet to find an extraordinary, super cool, must have strap that does not fit any of my watches! ;)

    Wow, great thread.

I think I'd be more into it if it was a sweet bullhead or a hibeat or something.

Don't get me wrong, I like it...but that strap on a pie pan, different league.
