Such a coincidence as I just picked up a 1037 for my 14700 last week. It fits great and the watch has taken on a new life 馃榾

You can find them on EBay and maybe with a WTB here, other than that I wouldn't really know.

If you want the 5-row as in the picture, call Omega and order 3010/511 for $450.

Pic of my 14701 with the 1503 bracelet that came with it:

The watch was found after sitting in a drawer for 20+ years according to the seller, so there's a fair shot the bracelet's original to the watch.

I am looking for a BoR bracelet for it. The watch has a lugwidth of 18mm. Do you guys know where to get the original BoR bracelet? I am also open to alternatives that fit the 18mm lugs of this Seamaster. Does anyone have a recommendation?

My 2 cents - I have one of these and love the watch. I originally bought it on a strap and eventually sourced an original 7 row BOR bracelet similar to the Forstner and the new 3010/511. However, I hated the look鈥攊mo the 14700/14701's angled case is best suited by the 1037 or other referenced 9-row BOR. That is what I would recommend. The best way to get one is to keep an eye for one on this forum or check ebay regularly. They come up relatively often and aren't super expensive....usually cheaper than the 7 row variety.

Here is my experience... I had that watch, the 14700, with the original case. The lugs taper to a point, and the bracelet fit is Not Good. Then a CMW ruined that case bufffing it, and I sourced a replacement 14700 case, which swelled a bit at the lug tips to accommodate a bracelet and the fit was Good.

So if you have the original case, I wouldn't try fitting a bracelet. If you have a -1 or later case, th e bracelet will fit better. I'm talking about the 7-row BOR, don't remember the number.

I would like to submit also that none of these bracelets in these pictures are "a good fit". They all need the end links adjusted or replaced. You should be able to fit those so the topside is flush with the lugs.

Sorry to revive an old thread but the early glidelock BOR bracelets fits the 14700 very good, could they have been sold originaly to the watch?

My 14700 is from 1959

The timing is about right. Not sure about the rounded endlinks, though.
Which references would these bracelet have been sold with?

I think they were add-ons, so you could probably get them with any watch at the time as long as they had the right endlinks? I鈥檝e seen them with Constellations and with Seamasters. On yours, the endlinks don鈥檛 seem to fit right (too rounded vs. the relatively flat lugs), but it鈥檚 also worth noting that I鈥檝e only ever seen (seemingly original) sliding clasp bracelets with these types of rounded and non-numbered endlinks, so if that鈥檚 all the dealer had in stock.. they may have used them..

Here's a '59 2846 on its original 惟 bracelet.

This Seamaster belongs to a former co-worker. It was originally acquired by his cousin who purchased it at a jewelry store in 1959. The store receipt indicated an additional charge for the sliding clasp bracelet.

My 14701 uses 512.
do the 512 end links match with the 14700 flat lugs - trying to figure out the best end links? I have a gold plated 14700 so I could go either two tone or 100% plated

Near as I can tell from memory of owning a 14700 and now owning a 14701, 512 are the ones to get. Earlier version of the 14700 ( I had a dash-nothing case originally) are flat all the way up but the later 14700 and my 14701, there's a bit of a flare towards the tips, to more easily accommodate.

I hope this picture helps some. These end links are not professionally adjusted, so take that into account!

Edited to add: the 14700 had a seven-row bracelet and links, and I don't remember what they were and at the time I didn't much care! They fit!

This looks great, very similar to mine as well. I have the 14700-11 so it is time to start the hunt.
