    Hi all,
Well, I am grieving for my missed purchases, and hence frantically searching for a rebound watch (I know, patience, patience...), but what do you think of this?

Current asking price is $4k, but I haven't started negotiations yet. Obviously I'll also be asking for more photos.

Yep, somebody cleaned the markers off the dial. Plus, the bezel was polished enough to dull the beveled edge. If this watch was perfect, $4k would be a good price. As it is, it's another $3k watch. The problem with eBay is there are too many inexperienced buyers for pie pans and they'll pay premium prices for mediocre specimens.

I do prefer these sort of hour markers to the stick/onyx ones you've been looking at, which have always on a gold dial felt somehow a bit 'Benson & Hedges' (dating myself and not sure it translates geographically... http://www.retrowow.co.uk/retro_britain/60s/60s_cigarettes.php) to me. Don't know if that helps soften the blow of missing out? Hang on - the dream one will be along...

The nicest connies for me have always been the gold dials with arrowhead markers. The mid 60s piepans while "hot" right now are to me not as attractive.

We're definitely on the same page. Got my 2799, sold my 168.005, and I'm perfectly content with that. Gotta say though - if I was looking for a 564 the last few months have been a great time to snag one. Hope it lasts for the members who are hunting.

I do like the arrowheads, but I think the onyx with the gold dials look magnificent (B&H or not).

Sometimes we all do that. I had to take deep breaths when I was checking the Centenary against the pics of my old one to make sure it was kosher.

I think these Constellation Calendars with the arrowheads are some of the nicest looking dials. I couldn't help but purchase one of them...now I need a case to complete it though.
