Its got a fair bit of weight to it, but more significantly its the OEM factory bracelet for the C-Case Constellation, and its the best bracelet (the brick version) for those models. WG carries a massive premium over YG due to its rarity. So if you have a very clean WG C-Case Constellation and mate it to that, you'll end up with a very valuable braceleted watch
at today's gold price, 1 gram = $55.43, this bracelet weighs 80.6 grams...add a premium for rarity, other factors and then do the math...
Precisely, also a lot of these bracelets have wear through of the plating on the clasp, this one looks spot on
This one on mesh with a worn through clasp had a $15,000 asking price: http://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-constellation-c-18k-solid-white-gold.354/
Respectable Member dsio Indeed it is a spectacular and rarely-seen bracelet in excellent condition. Its weight is respectable, too. How does this bracelet compare with the Rolex President or Jubilee in 18k solid gold, either yellow or white? I have seen another bracelet similar to the Omega white gold one and here it is. http://www.ebay.com/itm/130740388633?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network How rare is this white gold Constellation bracelet when comparing to ones in yellow gold, though both of them are seldom seen listed on eBay and what price you reckon, it will achieve? Thank-you.
Respectable Member alam Based on your information, despite the gold value is close to what the seller is expecting, I do not see any rush for this bracelet. Why is this so? Thank-you.
There's still 5 days left - all the action happens in the last few seconds if the listing runs to completetion without a side offer, that is. There also might not be a large market for it since the buyer would need the white gold watch to match.
Not so sure about that. I've only seen a couple of WG C-cases in 10 years of collecting. I've seen two WG bracelets in a week. In this post! gatorcpa
There's been about 4 go on the bay in recent months ranging from mint to shagged out, but they do come up.
The melt value of that bracelet today is $3358.60. Gold is $55.56 a gram, that's 80.6 grams, and it's 75% pure. Unless somebody already has a white gold C-case it's not worth bidding on since there's 1 bid at the starting $5000 price.
Kinda like unless someone ALREADY has a Seamaster of the right case, the dial in your sig isn't worth having?
One should never feel hurt for doing the right thing. That watch died and three others lived on with the correct parts. I even think you made a couple of bucks in the end. Winners all around. You did a mitzvah, Dennis! gatorcpa
