I'm looking for a 18K PG Seamaster, and I'm noticing some models have the Seamaster logo on the back of the watch and some do not. Any thoughts on this?
Depends on the case reference number. Some had raised relief logos, some had etched logos, others had none.
Thanks so much. Is a watch more valuable or sought after if it has the raised relief or etched logo on the back?
Not particularly - other factors far more important such as originality, condition, whether it is a chronometre or not and the size of the case (more desirable if it is 36mm or bigger).
Certainly, when two watches are the same, the one with raised relief seamonster on back costs you more
All other things being equal (condition, caliber, size, etc) the watch with the raised relief hippocampus / seamonster logo on the caseback will fetch more money, but only a little.
