路This is tough to let go of this watch. It is a lifetime find, but there are more out there. For your consideration is an Omega Constellation DeLuxe Ref. 2853 in 18k solid gold with 18k dial and the original Sterling box with the red insert and the red pad. The movement is a cal. 505. The watch was ordered with a special accessory: a 7077 Omega 18k band. The owner was a Seargent Beck from the air force. He used the 18k band, so the original Omega strap with the Omega 18k buckle went unused. The Sterling box is in perfect condition. The strap is in mint condition.
The springs in the band were gone. I contacted Omega and they cound not repair the band due to lack of parts. Michael e from this forum just happened to have the rare NOS springs for the band. (Thanks, Michael!) After the springs came in, I had a jeweler refurbish the band with the new springs, and it is in splendid condition. The watch head is in superb condition. I cannot say enough about this watch. The original bill of sale/order form for the watch is also included. The picture is below. Th chronometre paper is included.
The story on this watch was shared a few months ago. I called it the likker-cycle watch because a gentleman came in and sold it in order to buy a scooter. It was his fathers prized watch. The watch is in superb condition as the pics show. There is one miniscule dot near the four o鈥檆lock marker, otherwise the dial is as good as it gets. The back and movement are in A++ condition. I had the watch cleaned by a Omega certified technician, and it was expensive, but it was done right. He even water tested it to specs, which I have never had done with a vintage watch.
This is a special special piece. I am asking a firm $6250 for the whole package, including the Omega sterling case and the extra strap. If you want to purchase it minus the strap, I will let it go for $5900. I have not seen anything like this recently, with all the papers and Sterling box and 18k band. The Omega 7077 band itself can sell for $2500 and up, as it is rare in stainless, but extremely rare in 18k.
Postage will be paid by buyer. either USPS/Fedex/UPS will determine postage and insurance depending on where buyer lives. Thank you for your interest.
