The home improvement bug has gone viral, and watches are second place to real life (a very close second) so here's another tasty 60's Seaamaster on the block. The caliber 591 was only made for one year between the 50x series and 55x/56x series. Even better that this is a solid 18ct gold case - certainly not your garden variety Seamaster of the period. Despite being serviced by Stoll in Ohio in April of 2009, I just had Steve / N2FHL give it another. If you have access to Omega's A Journey Through Time you can see this watch and it's variations on page 289.

The original dial has a very even light beige patina. Gotta love that coathanger S in Seamaster.

    Original crown also.

Of course, one of the favorite logos of the era too.

The watch will come on a alligator grain leather strap w/ calf skin lining. I can include both the invoice from Stoll and Jesse (JH Fine Watches). It keeps time WAY better than chronometer specs despite not being certified - within +3 / -1 seconds a day.... and I'd bet Jesse will have it even better. Movement and inside caseback shots can be taken by Jesse if necessary. I can't find the shot I have of it - if I ever did.

We discussed 14ct Seamasters selling from $1200 (raw, from eBay as MSNwatch noted) to dealer prices approaching $3000 in this thread:

The thread reminded me that I haven't worn this in a loooooong time. It needs a new home where it will get some attention. Hopefully this one stays in the family too.

Asking $1750 including USPS trackable shipping within the CONUS, and reasonable offers welcome especially from forum members. Contact via e-mail at dhkanagie @ gmail . com (remove spaces) or simply start a conversation with me here.

    Thanks for looking!

Sort of - a watch from another brand popped up that I wanted to buy, but I'll be passing on it after further inspection. I'll still listen to offers, but the immediate necessity has passed.

Fresh pics of the watch, and a last bump with reduction to $1550.

Never did really trust him :cautious:. That's why I've more or less taken over that role for myself :whistling:

Truly a beautiful piece, if I could shift that Rolex I'd be over it like a rash :(
