When I first found these forums a little over a month ago I was searching for a watch to wear at my wedding. Like most first timers here I was drawn to a re-dialed, over polished, over priced watch. After a little bit of research and a total lack of self control I bought a RG plated Seamaster from 1961. While it may not be 100% original and may not be the collectors piece the members here strive for, it paired perfectly with a family heirloom wedding band from the 1870's (we're still trying to pin down a year). I wasn't able to keep track of the number of compliments I received while wearing the watch during the wedding. Thank you all for your help!
Well, you screwed up a perfectly good watch purchase by getting married. Now the trick will be to buy watches and stay married.
Is that Seamaster redialed? It's certain that I'm not good enough to call it based on your photographs.
First, the poor guy gets married and now you're questioning the dial on his watch? No need to pile on.
Yeah efauser. He's in a "world of hurt" isn't he? Actually, to my not-very-trained eye, it appears to be an original dial.
I do know the loom plots are new, not sure if it's a full redial. In the end it doesn't really matter, it'll hold a spot in my "collection" forever (it's a little pathetic to call it a collection at this point). I've already lucked out and made back way more then I spent on the two watches I've purchased just with the 1035 band I stumbled into
