    If it is in good condition and is all original, $1,700 is a bargain for the watch.

    Without pictures, there is no way to assess condition so you are on your own.

    Yes, the condition is very good, it has been polished only once in the last service and there were no dents. the dial is perfect as is the movement. The watch is original all the way I think. I had a doubt about the price as it is some amount I am not used to pay.
    thank you gatorcpa.

    I have found that verbal descriptions of "very good" don't reliably coincide with reality, i.e., pictures. We can only agree with a theoretical, not a real watch here. Polished only "once" can be more than enough to do damage. No dents is not always a good sign on a watch this old.
    So as Gator said, yes the price seems fine. The watch may even be a bargain, however we can't give you true reading of the watch with out pictures.

    What are the odds this watch has one of MSN's famous 352's in it?

    Of course, my asking was more about the price of such a watch. Since I don't have a picture of the watch, I was not expecting any comment on the condition. But from what I understand the price is good compared to market price, since it is going in my collection and you will eventually see pictures.
    thank you all.

    Price = condition
    Condition = price

    It may have been polished once at last service, but that doesn't tell you about the previous 55+ years. Best to have detailed photos from all angles, and especially the case back.

    That bezel doesn't retain much of it's bevel. Looks more than lightly polished to me. The dial looks pretty damn good though.

    Ah, but that's not the watch in question here. The OP is saying that the dial on his soon-to-be watch has the same pattern.

    I still have to reserve judgement until I see it.

    Sorry, as I have no picture of the watch, I should have formulated my question this way :
    what is the market value of an average condition 2652 constellation in 18 k case with a 354 mvt and this type of dial ?

    What is average? The average watch of this specific type is not in very good condition. The point is , it may be a very good deal, but we won't really know until we see the watch. That said, for 18k you can't go too wrong here and I am optimistic.

    Q: What is the market value of a 1957 Chevy Bel Air with a 283 V8?

    A: It all depends on condition.

    The watch could be a deal and a half at €1300, or it could be a total rip off.

    No pictures = no help.
