    Hi friends.

Lately, in another thread, I stated that the SS 168.005 pie pan is more expensive than the gold capped ones (we are not talking about the solid gold) but lately I've just seen a rose gold capped sold for 2500 usd.
So, SS can't beat Rose Gold yet. ;)

And please keep in mind that all the furniture must be in perfect condition.
    Cheers.

I'm pretty much allergic to plated and goldfilled and whatnot, but rosé gold is just another ball game.

    Thenagain, I woulnd't pay 2,5k for a capped 168.005, notwithstanding her pinkness.

For me (as in what would I be willing to pay) a perfect (sharp lugs, crisp bezel and immaculate dial) SS 168.005 is €1400, a capped one €1000, a pink capped €1600 and a solid gold one up to €2750.

Nice dial but that's just silly money for a soft case like this one
    Pink or not

Yeah, I'd remove the crown and the dial from that one and bide my time.

It all depends on condition. 2.5k for a pink capped in top condition is a reasonable price in this market, but as the condition slides so does the value.

Fewer pristine examples are surfacing, so expect to see prices reflecting their relative scarcity.

And how about a Deluxe 168.005/6?

    It is a 168.006
In that condition (rusty second hand and wrong crown) I think it is about 3k usd. Will go up to 4k or more if it is in rose gold or with cross hair (and correct furniture)

I don't know if they exist for this reference, but how much does a black dial affect the value?

That would be great. I've seen an auction for a 18 k white gold 168.006 with black pie pan dial went up to around 20k (hope I remember correctly) from Hong Kong to Texas then about 3 years later, the same watch was sold for 6k to Viet Nam.

    A black dial 168.006? Doesn't the final 6 denote it's a Deluxe dial?

Correction : white gold with black dial + cross hair sold for 10 k then 6k to VN.

I think that dial is a 18k white gold dial painted black.

Hee, hee, it's since been serviced and had a service crown. I left the rusty seconds hand but must say it's been annoying me too. All that gold and then that ugly rusty seconds hand....I'm going to get one ordered up directly!

So you mean that my rose gold 168.006 could bring up to 4k? (The one to the left).

Yes, and it should have the correct rose gold crown which is near impossible to find!
