Looking for critique on this one as a few things not 100%.

Dial has some foxing/aging, text looks spot on and with a small star....nothing to be worried about.

Case looks very sharp and lugs still have edge bevel. Movement looks clean and 20mill is correct range for this reference. The caseback is the correct no step type for a 168.001.

Issues - minute hand showing corrosion?, date window surround discolored.

    Thoughts...?

Hardware corrosion is par for the course with stainless steel watches. Even on excellent condition examples the hands are likely to have oxidized a bit.

I take it you mean that it is par for the course on plated hands? They aren't in steel, as far as I remember.
But I agree - I like the condition on this one and the concerns are minor. Degradation on the dials on these tend to be more aggresive.

@Banner Roar I think this is a good example of a Jumbo 168.001. Like you said, the case and lugs are sharp. And it is not easy to find these Jumbos with the original 10-sided crowns, most have replacements. The slight spotting on the dial is minor to me, very difficult to find one in pristine condition, maybe because they were sold to the Asian markets where the weather is not the best for dial preservation.

One observation I have is that the seconds hand seems a wee bit short. I have seen examples where it extends almost to touching the minute markers. But this is very minor point, this could well be the original hand.

If it's the right price I'd say grab it.

Mine has step caseback and in 24.4 mil serie but it has the original 10 sided crown. You cant find a perfect dial for this ref due to Asian climate, best ones are from Japan.

How much is the asking price may I ask?

Greetings from Hong Kong. Agree with that. Due to Asian climate of high humidity, perfect vintage dial is rare. Best ones are from Japan.

@tamura USD720 is cheap. Sometimes, you can get non broad-arrow indexes Connie cheap in Japan. The only problem is language and communication.
    Cheers,
